I spent 20 years in greenkeeping and absolutely loved it. Along the way, I picked up a string of industry qualifications, but as I started looking toward the future and wanting to work for myself, I decided to push myself further and do an HNC in Business.

It was actually during my business studies that I discovered something that had never been picked up when I was younger. I left school with no qualifications, always feeling like I didn't quite fit the mould. Years later, sitting in business classes, I finally found out why: I have dyscalculia (basically, I deeply struggle with numbers).

Suddenly, everything clicked. It wasn't a lack of ability, just a different way of thinking. Finding this out was a massive turning point. Passing a business course while dealing with undiagnosed dyscalculia proved to me that the "brains I never knew I had" were there all along — they just needed the right, hands-on environment to thrive.

Armed with that new confidence, I left greenkeeping behind and started my own business. That was over a decade ago now.

Because of how my brain works, I tend to look at problems from a completely different angle than most people. I don't see things the conventional way, and that unique perspective is exactly what comes through in my videos.

This fresh approach helped me grow the Premier Lawns channel into one of the biggest lawn care education channels on YouTube, with viewers in more than 100 countries.

As the community grew, one question kept popping up under every video: "Where do I buy the products you use?" For a long time, the honest answer was, "You can't." The best products were locked behind trade-only suppliers. So, I decided to fix that.

I wanted to sell the right products, but more than that, I wanted people to understand why they work. That's why I created iGrow Carpet, with the iGrow Learning Hub sat right behind it.

My goal is to help you understand how a better lawn actually happens. It's the things you do day-to-day that get you the furthest — the products just help you get more out of it.
